Miguel Gotor’s new book, L’omicidio di Piersanti Mattarella (Einaudi), reconstructs one of the most obscure crimes in the history of the Italian Republic, placing it within a network of connections between the Mafia, far-right terrorism, and hidden powers. Through documents and testimonies, the essay examines the period 1979–1980, highlighting the links between Palermo, Ustica, and Bologna, and offering a new reading of recent Italian history.
