La Bella Terra, la mostra di Isabella Ducrot

celebrates the journey, the myth, the freedom of existence.

La Bella Terra (The Beautiful Land) is the title of an important solo exhibition by Isabella Ducrot, born in collaboration between Taobuk-SeeSicily and MAXXI, on display at Palazzo Ciampoli, in Taormina, from 16 June to 27 August 2023. An internationally acclaimed Italian artist, Isabella Ducrot’s works recount, in a manner that is poetic, delicate, and powerful at the same time, the themes of travel, myth, and landscape, with a vision that emphasises the beauty of life and the natural essence of things. A glance at the profound freedom of existence, in line with the concept that the 13th edition of the festival will develop from 15 to 19 June. The themes and lines in Ducrot’s creative research – which we find in La Bella Terra – reinforce MAXXI’s and Taobuk’s gaze on the Mediterranean and the opportunity to contribute to the festival’s programme of literature, art and thought with an artist who sublimely combines visual art and words.
