The concept of the feminine has evolved over time—within spaces either assigned or denied, made visible or silenced, diminished or exaggerated. These boundaries change form but rarely their function: drawn by power, preserved by culture, sedimented in language. Starting from the archetypal female figures of classical myth—figures originally placed at the threshold—this panel explores what of those forms has been inherited by institutions, narratives, and systems of representation.
From diverse perspectives—philosophical, theatrical, anthropological, historical, literary, and artistic—the discussion observes a movement: the redefinition, resistance, or dissolution of margins, revealing the mechanisms that uphold them and the ways they can be transformed.
