Yet even artificial intelligence, we’re discovering, relies on infrastructure, regulation, and, paradoxically, gravity. This discussion explores the role of writing—from hieroglyphs to the introduction of vowels that enabled the rise of Greek philosophy—as both an exercise in thought and a lifeline in a world that increasingly seems to be moving beyond the written word.
