The American Lessons and the Boundaries Between Humanity and Technology. Coherence

In collaboration with the University of Messina

“The human has no boundaries except those we impose.” — Italo Calvino

Calvino’s sixth lesson—the one he never wrote—remains the great unwritten chapter. Today, coherence and incoherence seem to shape not only our individual narratives but also the dynamics of economic and scientific diplomacy between the old and new continents in this so-called era 0.2, ushered in by Trumpism.

What strategies can we adopt to defend the foundations of democracy—education, the right to research and knowledge, and a freedom of expression that is not reduced to a weaponised system of lies and fake news?

Moderated by Massimo Sideri.
