Lia Sava

Lia Sava is an Italian magistrate who has been serving in the judiciary since 1991. Originally from Apulia, she completed her judicial traineeship in Brindisi and then practiced as a civil magistrate in Rome. From 1998 to 2011, she worked at the Anti-Mafia District Directorate (DDA) of Palermo, dealing with organized crime and collaborating with Prosecutor Caselli. She later served as Deputy Chief Prosecutor in Caltanissetta, where she investigated the Capaci and via D’Amelio bombings. In 2022, she became the Prosecutor General of Palermo, the first woman to hold this position.
