Giuliana Panieri

Giuliana Panieri is the Director of the Institute of Polar Sciences at the CNR and a Professor of Geology at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. An expert in extreme marine environments, she studies climate change in the polar regions, with a particular focus on methane emissions and Arctic ecosystems. She has led numerous international scientific expeditions and is actively involved in science diplomacy and international cooperation on polar issues.
