Professor of Architectural and Urban Composition at the University of Palermo, he has taught at the University of Jordan of Amman, Al al-Bayt University of Al-Mafraq, Drexel University of Philadelphia, École Nationale Supérieure d’architecture de Paris-Malaquais. He coordinates the Master in Islamic Architecture in Mediterranean Cities. He is a member of the Regional Council of Cultural Heritage of Sicily, of the Scientific Council of UNESCO Sicily, of the International Forum Architect of the Mediterranean and of the National Executive Council PROARCH. He has been a consultant to DARC-Sicily_Regional Department for Architecture and Contemporary Art. He conducts research on Islamic architecture, especially in Saudi Arabia. He has won international architecture prizes and participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He is President of the Jury for the competition Lo spazio delle arti.
