Gianfranco Ravasi

An expert biblical scholar and Hebraist, created a cardinal by Benedict XVI in 2010, he served as Prefect of the Ambrosian Library and Art Gallery in Milan. He is President Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for Culture and the Pontifical Commission for Sacred Archaeology. He is the founder of the “Courtyard of the Gentiles,” a foundation that promotes dialogue between believers and non-believers. He is the author of over 150 volumes.
