Antonio Di Bella

Born in Milan in 1956, he graduated in Political Science and began his journalistic apprenticeship at the age of 20. In 1978 he was at the RAI regional editorial office in Milan, where he collaborated on the programme Noi in Lombardia. Between 1991 and 1996, he was in New York for Tg3, as correspondent and then correspondent, and in 1997, he returned to Italy to take up the position of Head of the Milan newsroom, where he was promoted to Chief Editor. In 1998, he was Co-Director of the unified Tg3/TG.

In 2001, after a period at the Deputy Head of the newspaper, he became Director of Tg3/TGR. Under his direction, Tg3 follows the major events of the decade, such as the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001, the war in Afghanistan, and the second Gulf War. In November 2009, he was appointed Director of Rai 3. Between 2010 and 2011, he returned to New York as a correspondent for news services from the United States and Head of the correspondence bureau.

In October 2011, he was called to head Rai 3. In 2013, he was a correspondent in Paris and Head of the radio and television news bureau from France. From 2004 to 2014 he was a member of the steering committee of the Italian Centre for Advanced Studies for training and updating in television journalism. In February 2016, he was appointed Director of Rai News for television production, of Televideo for teletext production and of Rainews.it.

In August 2020, he was assigned to report directly to the CEO, and from the following September, he was given the position of correspondent for radio and television news services from the United States. In December 2021, he was appointed Director of the Day Time Entertainment Department, subsequently Director of the RAI Programme, a position he holds until 2023.
