Abdulrazak Gurnah

Abdulrazak Gurnah is the 2021 Nobel Laureate in Literature. He is the author of eleven novels: Memory of Departure, Pilgrims Way, Dottie, Paradiso (shortlisted for the Booker Prize and the Whitbread Award), Admiring Silence, Sulla riva del mare (longlisted for the Booker Prize and a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award), Il disertore, L’ultimo dono, Cuore di ghiaia, and Voci in fuga (shortlisted for the Orwell Prize for Fiction). He taught English and postcolonial literature at the University of Kent.
