TaoKids is the project that the Taobuk Festival addresses to children and young people. Curated by Annalisa Galeano, TaoKids is the educational opportunity and the didactic laboratory designed for the children of the Schools and for the children among the audience of Taobuk.
Taormina, 23-27 June 2018
Taobuk opens up to kids. Not just the authors of literature for children among the festival guests, but also many recreational and cultural activities for young people.
Taobuk dedicates several activities and initiatives to children and teenagers, all in the name of creativity and learning through play: illustration workshops, creative writing, theatre and book construction.
The following workshop will involve children in the creative and fun use of the capital letters allograph.
Free from any grammatical or lexical rule, the graph-motion alphabet marker will stimulate the child's development in the field of eye-manual coordination and visual-perceptive recognition of individual graphemes, in a playful, colorful and inventive way!
Every child will have fun with the assistance of the specialized educator to play with their fingers ... with large, small, coloured markers and pencils and not only ... so many alpha-puzzles to build.
In this workshop will be exposed several illustrated readings; each participating child will be free to choose his "soul mate reading": he will be attracted to it through its illustrations that spontaneously attract the in-terest and curiosity of the child .... Without asking anything in return, without asking any questions, without giving any task, without explaining the vocabulary.
It will become for him just a readng-gift to carry in his heart!
The workshop “the talking nursery rhyme” was born from the statement of Frontini and Righi (1988): "read-ing first with your ears rather than with your eyes will help you reflect on the sounds and their meanings”: the child who listens to someone reading will be curious to hear if the words will repeat themselves, will be happy to anticipate the sounds, words or rhymes that will remain suspended, thus completing the reading without knowing to “READ WITH EYES". The children will be involved in listening to a series of fantastic readings vivaciously illustrated; then they will be guided in looking well at the associated images and coloring and cutting them. After that "when you hear the corresponding word, we all together will show the corresponding image!”, in a very suggestive moment of listening and sharing.
For many years, scholastic distress has been the subject of a wide variety of evaluations. Many children would have difficulty apprehending.
What problems are included in the expression “school difficulties”? Who has a specific disability and who does not see in reality any endogenous conditions that justify these difficulties?
From these questions the following debate will develop:
- A brief introduction to DSA
- The importance of early detection
- The teacher is the protagonist of the school revolution
