Elizabeth Strout

Elizabeth Strout was born in Maine but has lived in New York for many years. She has published her short stories on "The New Yorker" and many other magazines. In Italy she published, for Fazi editore, three novels: Amy and Isabelle, Resta con me, I ragazzi Burgess and the collection of short stories Olive Kitteridge. With Olive Kitteridge she won the Pulitzer Prize (2009), the Bancarella Prize (2010) and the Mondello Prize (2012). A TV series, produced by HBO, was taken from the same collection of stories. For Einaudi she published Mi chiamo Lucy Barton (2016 e 2017) and Tutto è possibile (2017).

Elizabeth Strout will be awarded the Taobuk Award for Literary Excellence during the Festival Opening Ceremony on June 23th. Besides, on Monday 25th June, at 8 pm she will give a lectio magistralis entitled "I betrayed my mother". My personal revolution. The event will be held in English.
