Ana Roš was born in 1972 in Šempeter pri Gorici, Slovenia. She starts working in the Hiša Franko restaurant first as a waitress and then as a chef, starting to be successful for her culinary creations. In 2010 she appeared in the Italian cooking magazine Identità Golose. In 2016 she was one of the guest of the Netflix documentary Chef's Table. In 2017 she was named World's Best Female Chef by The World's 50 Best Restaraunts Academy.
