The novel Il silenzio dei giorni (Ianieri) by Rosa Maria Di Natale is loosely based on 1980 “delitto di Giarre” that brought to the foundation of the first unit of LGBT activists in Italy, arousing new attention to civil rights in the whole country.

Journalist, Rosa Maria Di Natale lives and works in Catania at Repubblica Palermo and Gruppo Gedi. She is also a communication expert. She won “Premio Ilaria Alpi” in 2007. Il silenzio dei giorni (Ianieri) is her debut novel.
